Date and Time: May 25th, 2024. Warm-Up 12 noon, meet start 1:05pm, meet ends by 6pm.

Location: Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center,  915 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215

Entry Deadline and Fee: Entries will close Sunday, May 19th at 11:59pm. Entry fee will be $50/swimmer with a maximum of 5 individual events.  NOTE that payment for this meet will be done as a SECOND STEP of the entry process, on a separate website.  Instructions are at the bottom of this page and will also be provided at the end of this meet entry process.

Course Description: The BU Competition pool will be configured to have 10-lanes of racing in SCY, with an additional 5 lanes for continuous warm-up and warm-down which run perpendicular to the competition course. 

The length of the competition course is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1, but as a bulkhead course, is subject to length confirmation. Eligibility of times for USMS Top 10 and records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement.

Warm-Up: Warm-up will begin at 12 noon. One way sprint and pace lanes will open at approximately 12:30.

Competition Start: Competition will begin at approximately 1:05pm, and the meet will end by roughly 6pm (or earlier depending on entries).

Continuous Warm Up/Warm Down Space: There will be an additional 5 lanes available for continuous warm up and warm down throughout the competition. 

Timing System: The primary timing system will be automatic timing. Times from this competition will be eligible for USMS records and Top 10 consideration, but not for world records.

Rules and Eligibility: Current USMS rules will govern this meet. All participants must be 18 or older on the last day of the meet. USMS Membership is not required.
 
One Event Membership: USMS One event membership will not be offered for this meet. 

Age Determination Date: May 25th, 2024

AGE GROUPS – INDIVIDUAL AND RELAY

• Individual: 18-24, and thereafter in 5-year increments as needed. 
• Relay: Relay age group is determined by the age of youngest relay member:  18+, 25+, 35+, 45+, and up in 10 year increments as high as needed.  

Entries: Only online entries will be accepted via Club Assistant. Swimmers must be entered in at least one individual event to be eligible for Relays. Relays may be entered on deck prior to the conclusion of the 500 yard freestyle. Relays will be deck seeded. 

Entry Limits: Swimmers may swim up to a maximum of 5 individual events. Swimmers may only be entered in one relay per relay event (i.e., no swimmer may swim on a mixed and male/female relay)

Conduct of Meet: The meet will be swum as timed finals. Time trials may be offered at the discretion of the meet director, and in such instances would count toward the maximum number of individual events. 

Seeding Method: Heats will be seeded by entry time, slow to fast, without respect to age or sex. Events will be swum as mixed, and relays may be combined into single heats if necessary. 

Check-in: There will be no formal check-in system; please notify the meet director if you will be unable to attend the meet or need to scratch an event following registration. 

Parking: There are several options for parking near BU FitRec. The first is the Agganis Arena garage, which has a flat rate of $12 for parking more than 3 hours on weekends. There is also 4-hour metered parking along Commonwealth Avenue, and free 2-hour parking available in Brookline. FitRec is also easily accessible via the the MBTA Green Line, where the stop nearest the pool is Amory St.
