Sanctioned by Southern Pacific Masters Swimming for USMS, Inc.

Facility: Northview High School pool is an outdoor, 25 yard competition pool, located at 1016 West Cypress Street, Covina, CA 91722. 8 competition lanes with additional warm-up lanes. The length of the competition course without a bulkhead complies and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1. The primary timing system will be automatic timing. Times may be submitted for USMS records and USMS Top 10 consideration. Colorado Timing will be used.

Directions: Northview High School is located on the NW corner at the intersection of Azusa Avenue and Cypress Street, in Covina, CA, which is between the 210 freeway and 10 freeway. From the 210 freeway, take the Azusa Avenue exit south to Cypress Street. From the 10 freeway, take the Azusa Avenue exit north to Cypress Street.

Rules: United States Masters Swimming rules will govern. Current SPMS meet procedures will be enforced and take precedence over any errors or omissions on this form. The meet referee will oversee the meet. Any questions regarding the conduct of the meet should be directed to that person. All events are timed final. Age on January 30th, 2022 determines age group for the meet. You must be at least 18 to compete.

Entry Fee: $40.00 flat fee per swimmer. Early entry price closes at Sunday, January 16th, at 11:59pm. Late entries will be allowed, fee of $50.00. Entries close Wednesday, January 26th, at 11:59pm. NO DECK ENTRIES ALLOWED

Seeding: All events will be seeded slowest to fastest, by entered time, ages and sexes combined. Check-in is not required. A swimmer who misses their heat will not be reseeded into a later heat and will be disqualified for that event.

Awards: Custom pentathlon awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group. The swimmer with the lowest cumulative time for all five events shall be declared the winner. A swimmer must complete all five events to be considered for an award. If a swimmer is disqualified in one or more events, that swimmer is ineligible for a pentathlon award.

Notice: All local, city, county, and state COVID-19 safety mandates at the time of the meet will be strictly followed. This includes mandates on masks and gathering sizes/capacity limits for events at the pool facility. If necessary, we will adjust the meet to adhere to these mandates.
