2nd Annual Summer SWAGfest

Long Course Meters Swim Meet
Sanctioned by the Florida LMSC for USMS, Inc.

DATE & TIME:  Sunday, August 18, 2024.  Warm up for the 800 Free is at 7:20am.  Meet start is 8:00am for the 800 Free. There will be a second warm up approximately from 9:00 to 9:30am (we will confirm once entries are in) and then start all other events at 9:30am.

FACILITY:  Dwight H. Hunter “Northeast” Pool, 1100 NE 14th Street, Gainesville, FL 32601.  Long Course Meters.  8 lanes for the meet, there is a diving well for cool down between events.  We will also have one 10-minute break after Event 8.    

POOL LENGTH CERTIFICATION:
The length of the competition course without a bulkhead is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1.

TIMING SYSTEM: 
The primary timing system will be automatic timing. Times may be submitted for world record, USMS record, and  USMS Top 10 consideration. 

ELIGIBILITY:  Current USMS rules will govern the meet. All participants must be age 18 or older on the day of the meet, and be currently-registered members of U.S. Masters Swimming. Foreign swimmers must provide proof of current membership in their country’s Masters Swimming governing body.  The swimmer's competition age is their age on December 31, 2024.

ONLINE ENTRIES:  www.coachkaryn.net   Online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST by Sunday, August 11, 2024.

ENTRY FEES:  

• Entry fee is $65 per swimmer and includes up to 5 individual events and a tank top in either a Men's or Women's size. 
• Men's Size 2XL is available for an additional $2.00. 
• Entry fees are NOT REFUNDABLE.  
• There is a LIMIT of 100 swimmers for this meet. 
• There will also be a limit for the 400 Free and 800 Free entries, MAXIMUM of 24 swimmers for the 800 Free and 32 swimmers for the 400 Free.  We will close these events in registration once the spots have been filled. 
• We will continue to honor our tradition of recognizing the King and Queen of our meet (based on age). 

COMBINED EVENTS:  We will offer a 200 Fly, Back and Breast, Please only register for ONE of these events as we will be combining them to save time.  We will do the same thing for the 400 Free and 400 IM, you can sign up for only one as we will swim the events together.

ENTRY LIMITS:  There is a limit of 5 individual events for the Meet.

CHECK-IN:  Check in will open at 7:00.  All athletes must be checked in before the last heat of the 800 Free.

SEEDING:  Events will be swum slowest to fastest.   “No Time” (NT) entries are permissible.

SCRATCHES:  No penalty for scratching on the block.  No refunds for scratched events.

SCORING:  Individual events will be scored 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

HOSPITALITY:  There is no concession area, but water coolers will be available.
