Meet Host: Trailblazers Masters (TM)

Location: Utah Tech University Human Performance Center is an indoor, 25-yd. by 50-m competition pool located at 291 S 700 E, St. George, UT 84770. The meet will be run as a short course yards meet. There is limited bleacher seating on the pool deck.

Deck entries will be permitted for $40 + $10. 

Session I Check in and Warmup from 8:00 to 8:30am. Session will start at 8:30 am. Session I (long distance) will be limited to 20 swimmers.

Timing System: The primary timing system will be fully automatic. Times may be submitted for USMS records and Top 10 consideration.

FORMAT/RULES:  USMS rules will apply. All events are timed finals. Swimmers are limited to a total of 5 individual events, not including relays. Age on April 15, 2023, determines age group for the meet. You must be at least 18 years of age on April 15, 2023 to compete.

Current USMS membership is required. To purchase or renew memberships, go to www.usms.org. Non-USMS members may also purchase a single day membership for a fee of $20.00 during meet entry. 

Please Note: The length of the competition course is not on file with USMS. Eligibility of times achieved in this meet will be contingent upon pool length measurement and approval with USMS; if bulkheads are present, their placement must also be confirmed by measurements at the meet (USMS articles 105.1.7 and 106.2.1)

Participants may start in the pool, or from the deck, instead of from the diving blocks, if they prefer. 

Disability Swimmers: Disability swimmers are welcome. Please notify the meet director and meet referee, prior to the competition, of any disability and of the requested modification. The swimmer/coach shall provide any assistant(s) or equipment if required.

Seeding: All events will be deck seeded slowest to fastest, by entered time, ages and sexes combined. Check in is not required in order to be deck seeded, except swimmers must check in to swim the 1650 free, 1000 free, and 400 IM.

Relays: All relays will be deck entered on Trailblazer relay forms available at the meet. Age groups for relays are 18+, 25+, 35+, 45+, 55+, 65+, 75+, 85+, 95+… (10-year increments as high as is necessary). The age of the youngest relay team member shall determine the age group.
All relays will be men’s, women’s, or exactly 2 men & 2 women. 

Warm up and Warm Down:  There are 5 lanes available for swimmers during the swim competition.

Event Social: After the last event there will be a “Fun Relay” to give swimmers and their supporters one more chance in the pool. Lunch will be available for purchase at a nearby location still to be determined.
